it has been said that my work is both passionate and dispassionate, grey yet technicolor, distant yet immediate, ghostly and palpable, grainy, textured, and focused. playful but noble. cartoonish and child-like, but unafraid of adult themes and the subconscious. dream-like to many, haunting to some, these conceptual contradictions are an extraordinary balancing act. bright, saturated colors collide head-on with bubblegum pastels. humor is coupled in equal measure with pure anxiety. a sense that you can never get enough of whatever is out there.
